John GARRISON was born about 1798/99 in VA?. He died between 1830-40 probably in Barren  CO., KY. John married Margaret PORTWOOD (daughter of Ludy Portwood) in 1818 in Barren CO., KY. John's father was very possibly Shadrach GARRISON.

John's son - Thomas Jefferson Garrison married Sarah Francis GASH in 1854 in Barren Co. Y.   They later moved to Perry County, Indiana. Garrison is mentioned on my webpage - but it has no more than what is here.

Thanks so much!

His wife is Artie Jane Jenkins and she buried along side him. I Believe she was born in Georgia in 1881 and she died in 1967. According to the 1880 census in clay county andrew was 4 years old with two brothers william 9 yrs old and James 7 years old. I cannot find anything out about his brothers either. Their mother is listed as nancy A 31 years old and born in Georgia. The two oldest boys are listed as being born in Georgia also. She is widow in this census.
